July 30, 2007 - Altamonte Springs,
FL - Two Florida business leaders agreed to create
a consortium to facilitate the growing demand
for foreign, specifically American, investment
and partnership in one of the fastest growing
regions of China. Co-founders Howard Odor and
Tony Coolidge leveraged their existing business
networking contacts, and their relationships overseas
and their business experience to grow a larger,
more internationally-based network of resources.
Much of their network base includes environmentally-friendly
and sustainable companies, and the consortium
has an underlying commitment to promote international
partnership to strengthen green business development
on a global scale.
During a visit over the Summer of 2007
in Shenyang, CEO Howard Odor initiated relationships
and signed agreements with top government officials
in the City of Shenyang and in the Province. He
quickly identified the importance of the government's
partnership with business leaders in China.
"I was amazed by how government leaders
were able to work so closely with business and
not be a hindrance to growth, " recollects Howard
Odor referring to his own experiences as an American
businessman, "Government is involved in every
aspect of planning, acquiring of resources, and
promoting of business. When they want a business
sector to grow, they ask business leaders what
they need and break down the barriers to provide
it in a hurry. That's why business grows much
faster in China."
The USA-China Initiative has established
contacts in Australia, China, Singapore and Taiwan
and continue to invite key business and government
leaders who have made it a priority to
learn about or promote green solutions. The group
is growing its pool of experts and resources to
fulfill the requests by Chinese government and
business leaders to invite American partnership.
The company is planning a mission trip to Shenyang
at the end of August 2008 to expand its relationships
and begin feasibility studies for joint venture
projects.
