Cheang Peng Wah in 2006 had a career with MindChamps Pte Ltd as Deputy Director, Operations. MindChamps is a champion mindset and advanced active learning strategies training institute for students between Pre-School and Tertiary Institute Level. Prior to this he worked Nov 2000 - Dec 2005 as the Senior Business Development Manager for Strategic Businesses in Eurocopter South East Asia. As a Senior Executive he reported direct to the President with
career highlights:
- 400-million - naval helicopter program sales campaign for the Republic of Singapore Navy.
- 10-million - EC-120 training helicopters sales for the RSAF (Republic of Singapore Air Force)
strategic outsource program.
- International Air Parts service support contract for pre-owned RSAF Fennec helicopters.
Oct 1996 – Oct 2000 he worked in Singapore Ministry of Defence, Defence Materiel Organization, and
finally Defence Science and Technology Agency as Senior Manager and Program Manager respectively
for significant US$ 1.5 billion military helicopter fleet acquisition and modernization programs.
June 1983 he began his career with RSAF working in the Headquarters Air Logistics Department. After a
few promotions, 1992-1996 he became the first civilian officer appointed as the Principal Staff Officer of
an operational military helicopter base with about 90 European and American helicopters ranging from
2.2-ton light training to 22-ton heavy lift fleets. He was responsible for:
- air and ground logistics support.
- helicopter maintenance and engineering services.
- quality and safety assurance, and technical training.
- logistics and operational infrastructure master plan development.
- management of direct staff of 30 and oversight of 500 staff, most of them military personnel.
He was educated and trained in Singapore, the Middle East, France, USA, Malaysia and Thailand,
