Dennis McBurney, born in England and grew up in Australia, is an automotive engineer by profession. He started his career joining the Petroleum Industry under the various branding of TOTAL, BP and Shell. He was actively involved in the Motor Trades Association and held the Directorship for 3 years, representing various related industries at State and Federal levels of Government.
Dennis is passionate, entrepreneurial and professional. He has the ability to identify, plan and develop new opportunities. In his early forties, besides managing his own service stations and car washes, automotive repairs and convenience stores, he was instrumental in developing two new franchises throughout Queensland - New Zealand's National Wide Service Centers as well as United States' Subway, Salad and Sandwiches.
He is very resourceful and with his proven track record of over 30 years of franchising and business management, he developed a keen interest in the gem stones industry as a result of his family's international opal and sapphire businesses.
For the last 9.5 years Dennis has been actively Business Brokering various deals throughout Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. He has been developing new markets consistent with organizational goals. He is a do-what-it-takes person and works well with individuals and groups.
